On My Nightstand

Karate Kommandos

During an early morning skype session, Fainty and I started looking up all the 80s cartoons we could remember. One thing led to another and I found Karate Kommandos. I could not believe I used to watch this Chuck Norris cartoon. I loved it even. Lame as this may sound but I was inspired to take up Karate (say it like Ross from Friends) . My mother thought otherwise. In fact, she laughed at me and told me to play Nintendo instead. No wonder I was able to finish Super Mario Bros. 2 within hours. If only I was able to learn the Karate back then. Who knew what I could be capable of now. I could have been PeanutButterWolf -- woman of action! PeanutButterWolf with her mighty ninja skills and lovely lady lumps! Yeah I like how that sounds.

    Heehee. That was interesting.

I remember you guys were looking it all up while I drifted off to sleep for I don't know how long, only to wake up again and were still looking for 80s cartoons. top

    ha, ha, ha!

Chuck Norris! I've never seen it! But, I wasn't big into cartoons, except the smurfs. Loved the Smurfs! Well, except for Gargamel and Azrael! They were evil.

PBW - woman of action! Sounds good! top

wonga: i think fainty started looking up things and then i suddenly forgot that i was in need of sleep. did you hear me singing the theme to duck tails? :)

kai: for some reason i really liked chuck norris back then. i followed his career throughout the 90s but i've finally let chuck go.

lballer: isn't it shocking that this cartoon lasted only 5 episodes? i think i even bought a kommando action figure. top

    for kai:

La, la, la, la, la, la, sing a happy song
La, la, la, la, la, la, Smurf the whole day long

(whistle) - Smurf along with me
(whistle) - simple as can be

Next time you're feeling blue just let a smile begin
Happy things will come to you so Smurf yourself a grin

Gargamel: "Ooh, I hate Smurfs! I'll get you, I'll get all of you, If it's the last thing I'll ever do!"

La, la, la, la, la, la, now you know the tune
La, la, la, la, la, la, you'll be Smurfing soon. top

    :: singing ::

    la,la, la, la, la, la...

Didn't Gargamel want to eat the smurfs? I wonder if they were tasty? What do you think they tasted like?

Oh, and I'm SO SHOCKED that your Chuck Norris cartoon only lasted 5 episodes. Ha! What were the network executives thinking? ;-) top

Yes, Gargamel did want to eat the smurfs and also use them to make gold. I think the Smurfs would taste like Boysenberries. top
